Lives on your desktop
She walks along the tops of your windows, jumps from one to the next, and naps wherever she likes.
Mochi is a desktop pet for macOS. She walks along the tops of your windows, naps in the corner, reminds you to drink water, guards your focus, and closes Instagram when your time is up.
macOS 13+, Apple silicon & Intel. Windows coming soon.
That's her, live. Hover to say hi, click for a purr.
Scroll down. She'll show you around.
She walks along the tops of your windows, jumps from one to the next, and naps wherever she likes.
Open Mission Control and your windows spread out. She hops from one to the next, then lands back on the Dock.
Water, breaks, resting your eyes, posture and bedtime, all free. If you miss one, she doesn't stack them up. She just tries again later.
Give Instagram 20 minutes a day. When time's up, she walks over and swipes the tab closed.
When music plays, on go the headphones, and she bobs her head to the beat.
Pick Gremlin and she shoves or shrinks a window from the middle of its edge (there's always an Undo), knocks a mug, pencil or plant off the top, sits on your cursor and does zoomies. Playful keeps it sweet: hide and peek, and little presents like a felt mouse, a fish or some yarn.
Calm, Playful or Gremlin. You choose.
Join a video call and she tiptoes out of frame, then comes back when you hang up. Rather she stayed? Pick "Stay quiet" or "Carry on" instead.
Ask which one to buy. She looks at the page you're on, points at the best pick, and tells you why.
She drafts replies, fills things in, and clicks buttons. Before anything risky, like sending or buying, she asks first.
The Pro scenes use your own AI: Claude, OpenAI, or Ollama for free and local. She remembers you between chats, and helps with the page or app you're on.
Focus sessions, breathing, stretches, your own reminders and a gentle look back at your week. She does them with you, never at you.
Start a Pomodoro and she guards your window with a little timer pill. Wander off to a limited site and she shoos it away. When the break comes, she stretches with you.
A minute of box breathing: in, hold, out, hold, four seconds each. She puffs up and settles in time with you.
Five little moves in about a minute and a half. She does each one with you and counts.
Anything you like. She brings a little sign with a sticker on it.
Once a day she asks how you're feeling. Just tap a face.
A gentle look back at your week: moods, focus, breaks and water.

In the hour before bed she gets sleepier and gives one gentle nudge.
Water, breaks, eyes, posture and bedtime reminders stay free.
Eleven furs, in 3D and illustrated, and six themes for her room. Mix and match a bow, a flower crown or a strawberry beanie, round glasses, a bell collar or a knit scarf.
She dresses for the season too: a Santa hat in winter, a heart headband for Valentine's, a daisy in spring, a sun hat and heart sunglasses in summer, a witch hat at Halloween.

Everything stays on your Mac. There's no account, and the app has no analytics or tracking. If you use the AI features, your messages go straight from your Mac to the AI provider you picked, with your own key. The optional browser extension (coming soon to the Chrome Web Store) only talks to the Mochi app on your Mac. Read the privacy policy for the details.
No. Everything in Free works without one. To let her talk and help with pages, add a key from Anthropic (Claude) or OpenAI (ChatGPT), or use Ollama, which runs on your Mac for free.

Yes. Enter the email you bought with on the Forgot your key? page and we'll email your key to that address again. Still stuck? Email hello@toebeanstudio.app with your Paddle receipt.
Only if you ask her to. Calm sits with you and moves only with a reason. Playful adds a little fun, like stalking your cursor or bringing you a toy, and never touches your windows. Gremlin pranks every 10 to 20 minutes: she nudges and shrinks windows (always undoable), knocks things off, and hides, then ambushes you. Calm, Playful or Gremlin. You choose.
No. At rest she uses about 1 to 2% CPU. She only animates fully while she's doing something.
